Consentire

Consentire (lit. ‘feeling together’) is an on-going participatory documentary project exploring the impact of sexual trauma. The images are co-authored by Ali Wright and participants of the project, all of whom have experienced sexual violence. The project investigates photography’s relationship to consent. It aims to give participants - who have previously had their consent disregarded - agency over their representation. The intimate photographic space between survivors, either side of the camera, invites an opportunity to reflect on the aftermath of sexual trauma and the complexities of healing.

Participants: Louie Wittner, Alex Jade & Rowan Hulatt

The project is on-going, and Ali continues to work with survivors
